Raw is War - Sept 28th, 1998

Who is the WWF Champion?

The show opens with a replay of the Breakdown opening video but heavily edited, with most of Vince's audio removed so it doesn't make sense. Must be a network thing.

Stone Cold Steve Austin’s music hits but it’s Mr.Mahon who comes out with the stooges and a massive security entourage. Vince is carrying the smoking skull belt and a big smile. Vince reiterates that Austin could have done things the easy way. This is his own fault. There will be no rematch for Stone Cold. That draws “asshole” chants from the live crowd. He does make this “Stone Cold Appreciation Night”, and then shows police guarding the door to the arena to ensure "easy access and assistance to Austin” Vince mocks the smoking skull belt and says its going “on my mantle in one of my homes”. The new champion will be given the real WWF title belt tonight. He gets Sgt Slaughter to strap the smoking skull belt on him and then celebrates like Austin on the ropes to loud jeers from the crowd and disgust from Jim Ross on commentary.

Mid-way through the show, McMahon comes back out with the classic WWF title belt stored in a glass podium. He has Sgt and the stooges with him and a bunch of police officers again. He's going to present the belt to a worthy superstar. Loud “Austin'' chants. He brings out Undertaker first, then Kane. As Vince talks, implying that both of them are worthy, we see Stone Cold arrive backstage in a zamboni (its a big machine used for cleaning and smoothing the ice on hockey rinks, for the non-Yanks), busting through the gate to the arena, past the police and security, smashing up the backstage area and pushing through to the arena. The crowd goes absolutely insane. Austin crashes the zamboni into the ring and with a running jump dives off the top of the zamboni over the crowd of police to attack McMahon! All time classic moment. Austin is arrested as Kane and Taker just watch on. Austin keeps going after McMahon even while handcuffed. This is amazingly good. “I ain't through with you Vince, not yet by a long shot!” Vince follows them out of the arena and screams at Austin. He's fully transformed into the angry Mr. McMahon character we know and love.

Back in the ring after a commercial break, it's just Vince, Undertaker and Kane. Vince is furious and now refuses to give the title to either of them because they failed to protect him from Austin. He's been attacked 3 times in less than a week! He books them against each other at Judgment Day for the vacant title and he makes Austin the referee. Austin will suffer the indignity of giving the title to someone else. He also says Undertaker and Kane will face Mankind, The Rock and Ken Shamrock tonight in a 3 on 2 handicap match as punishment for letting him down. The Rock's name gets a monster pop. He infers that the brothers are handicapped mentally. Taker threatens Vince to “watch his ass” and then as they turn their backs on him, Vince gives them the finger behind their back...but gets caught! Undertaker hits him with a big right hand and then the brothers attack him 2 on 1! Kane beats up the stooges and keeps security at bay as Taker tries to break Vince's leg. They end it all by dragging him to the outside and after placing his leg across the lower half of the ring steps, crushing his ankle with the top half of the ring steps. JR LOSES it! You’d think they’d killed a man from how he reacts to this. They have shattered Vince's ankle. It looked and sounded devastatingly painful. They leave together despite now being opponents once again, thanks to McMahon who screams in agony at ringside.

In the back Vince is on a stretcher calling for an ambulance but the one they had for tonight's show is busy with Dan Severn.(see other happenings) Hilariously Mankind shows up and tries to offer Vince a sip of his drink as he screams in pain.

In the main event of the show is the 2 on 3 handicap match. Ken Shamrock out first to a lot of boos. Mankind gets lots of love though. Shamrock and Mankind instantly start fighting while they’re the only two in the ring. They're supposed to be partners! The fans explode for The Rock. Shamrock attacks him too but The Rock fights him off. Mankind and The Rock finally beat him down 2 on 1 to get their partner under control. They don't seem to have any issues with each other. Undertaker and Kane enter together to Undertaker's music. Shamrock is too busy trying to fight his partners and The Rock gets double teamed in the ring by the brothers. Kenny does eventually calm down and realise how dumb he's being. They work together for a bit but The Rock does hit Shamrock as he gets into the ring. Personal moment - I get a kick out of seeing Rock and Mankind chat on the apron while Shamrock is in the ring wrestling. I wish I knew what they were saying. Shamrock hits a really impressive hurricanrana on Kane and tags out to Mankind. JR takes a shot at “bald 45 year olds playing the air guitar” which is another shot at Hogan over on WCW TV. Hot tag to The Rock who looks like a proper main eventer hanging with Taker and Kane. He hits the peoples elbow on Undertaker and Kane actually has to break it up! It all breaks down. I hear Earl Hebner very clearly telling everyone there's only 45 seconds left. The Rock pins The Undertaker with the Rock Bottom and the fans lose it! That is a really big deal. Undertaker seems angry at Kane for not being there for him. The Rock is officially the number one contender but now has pin fall victories on Raw over both Kane and The Undertaker too.

Dissension in DX (again)

The New Age Outlaws defend the tag team titles against Southern Justice (this is their last appearance under this gimmick too so guess who’s winning?) Billy Gunn is getting a big push lately after teaming with Stone Cold last week, getting a bit indirect heat with McMahon on Heat before Breakdown, and the commentators really put him over for carrying the load for DX during all the recent injuries. Jeff tries to use his guitar and Roaddogg grabs it from him and though Billy has the match won, about to hit the Fame-asser on Dennis Knight, Roaddogg smashes it on Knight to lose by DQ. Billy is pissed about it and the Outlaws argue. X-pac comes out to play peacekeeper but Billy shoves him too and leaves in a huff. Triple H comes out in a wheelchair too but Billy also shoves past him too.

Later, we see Billy Gunn leaving the arena in his ring gear with his case, alone.

Other Happenings

  • Jerry Lawler addresses his rivalry with Jim Carrey? JR and King missed Raw last week to film their cameos in the Jim Carrey fronted “Man on the Moon” Andy Kauffman biopic. King and Carrey didn’t get on on set which is true, but overplayed as the WWF were hoping Jim Carrey would show up on Raw. He never would, and the movie tanked. JR and King would continue to make jokes about the movie’s terrible performance for the next couple of years periodically on commentary and that's its real legacy.
  • Dan Severn comes with two title belts out for a submission match with Owen. They've had a falling out since he was his trainer for Summerslam but it hasn’t been on TV since so this is just tying up a loose end. Wonder why they didn't do this at Breakdown? They trade suplexes until Owen uses the same version of the piledriver that broke Austin's neck. It's disgusting looking. Severn stops moving and sells like his neck is broken and he can't move his arms. Owen drops character to show concern. I wasn’t sure if this was legit or not because the piledriver really did look disgusting but a quick google reveals that this was just a (tasteless) angle. Back from the commercial, Owen is watching on looking upset as Severn has a neck brace put on. No commentary as he's loaded onto a stretcher. The fans clap and cheer for Severn as he's lifted out of the ring obviously believing this is real. They show a couple of replays which is a give away that it’s not. Severn is loaded into an ambulance.
  • Vader is accompanied by Sgt Slaughter. Vader is facing Al Snow who beat Sgt on Raw last week to earn his job at last. Loud “we want head” chants. Al upsets Vader with a shot from Head while Sgt has the referee accidentally distracted. He is a Stooge.
  • There is a 6 man match for a shot at the European title held under elimination rules. Edge, Gangrel, D'Lo, Jeff Jarrett, Marc Mero and Droz. I like this a lot, as it puts a spotlight on the midcard and makes the European title look worth fighting for! Gangrel is eliminated first via a roll up by Edge. Droz and Jarrett both get counted out as they fight on the outside. Mero goes for Marvelocity but D'Lo shakes the ropes to make him fall and then Edge follows up with a top rope hurricanrana. D'Lo splashes Mero allowing Edge to pin him. Edge vs. D'Lo would be a great singles match but their exchange is short here. Gangrel comes back out with the same mystery blonde from Breakdown (it’s Christian) which distracts Edge and let's D'Lo win with the Sky High.
  • Chyna acts as the special referee for Mark Henry vs. Faarooq. Chyna beat the crap out of Mark on Heat this past week. He's still being quite sexual towards her. Chyna lowblows Henry while he has Faarooq lifted and then counts fast when he lands on him. As she stands over him, she's served with legal papers. She tears them up and leaves.
  • Michael Cole interviews Shamrock. He's definitely a heel now as he says he doesn't like Detroit.
  • Another “real man's man” video. Steven Regal uses a big machine to move mountains. (it's a bulldozer)
  • The Headbangers vs. The Oddities. The Headbangers turned heel on them last week. Thrasher powerbombs Mosh onto Golga which was cool. ICP trip Thrasher and Kurrgan splashes him to win the match.
  • Michael Cole chats to The Rock. He's the number 1 contender but it doesn't matter because he's the Peoples champ and that's more important. Big old babyface.
  • Val Venis is getting a blowjob from Terri. Jesus Christ, That’s followed by Val Venis challenging X-Pac for the European title. X-Pac has his eye heavily bandaged from getting splinters in it from Jeff's guitar at Breakdown. Terri helps Val cheat so he does seem to be the heel after all. Chyna comes out and shoves Terri down. Val grates at Chyna and X-pac baseball slides him and the two DX mates beat him up 2 on 1 for the DQ. After the referees break it up and send X-Pac and Chyna to tbe back, Val and Terri kiss in the ring and they're interrupted by Goldust's music. The fans lost it and I got goosebumps! Dustin did tell us that HE was coming. HE wasn't Jesus, HE was Goldust.

Raw is War - Oct 5th, 1998

Bedpan McMahon

Vince McMahon joins the show live via satellite all night as he’s in a hospital bed recuperating from his shattered ankle. We get a couple of clips of him being rude to nurses and generally a bit of a prick, demanding apple juice like a petulant child. Pretty funny. He was also “live via satellite” on Heat last night and we get some footage of Austin demanding to know which feed was for Vince's satellite hookup and then cutting the feed with an axe.

It’s teased a couple of times that Vince has a "really big visitor" at the hospital who has threatened the staff. Is it Austin? Kane? Undertaker? Nah it's Mankind with balloons and sweets! We can hear Vince's heartbeat monitor peak every time he thinks someone is coming to get him. Mankind brings in Yurple the Clown to make him balloon animals. Vince tries to stay calm but is very annoyed. This is really funny and is the debut of Mr. Socko! He has drawn a face on a sock and gives Vince's booboo a big kiss.

More clips from Heat last night when Austin came out to threaten Shane McMahon on commentary at ringside who refused to get involved and doesn’t want to have anything to do with the feud between Stone Cold and his dad. Austin then beat up Southern Justice and Jeff Jarrett with stunners, who were in the ring for their match at the time. He and The Rock had a stare down but didn’t fight, just to confirm that Rock is a good guy now.

All of these skits with Vince in the hospital being a dick to the staff culminate in one of the all time great Raw moments - bedpan McMahon. Austin is disguised as a nurse and is all over Vince, brutally attacking him. The clang from the bedpan to the head is still hilarious. He shocks Vince with the defibrillator paddles and then shoves an enema up his rear (which I always thought was too far). Vince's anguished screaming is horrifying but that clang from the bed pan makes this whole segment. Hilarious.

The People’s Champion and Brothers at War (Kind of. Again)

Ken Shamrock faces Kane. There is a lot of booing for Shamrock. JR frames the whole situation between the five men currently chasing the title (Undertaker, Kane, Shamrock, Mankind and The Rock) as no one is the “bad guy”. All five men have their fans and want to be the champion and will do what they need to do, so fair enough. Shamrock moves fast and tries to work on the legs but Kane is too big and strong and hits a big powerbomb. As Kane dominates, The Undertaker comes out to ringside to watch. As Kane goes to the top rope, Undertaker gets on the apron and seems to cause Kane to lose his balance. It's unclear if it was intentional or not. Shamrock hits a belly to belly suplex from the top rope to get the three count and surprisingly wins.

The main event is The Rock vs. The Undertaker. Early in the match, The Rock's fellow Nation buddies D'Lo and Mark Henry come out. The Rock has had no connection with The Nation since Summerslam really. It would seem that with Owen quitting earlier, he's done with them too. The Nation is all but dead and has quietly fizzled out. JR talks a lot about the youth of the roster during this. Everyone is in their 20s. Kane comes out and chases off D'Lo and Mark and stays to watch the match himself. They're still talking about The Rock being the number 1 contender but there is no champion for him to face. People's elbow but The Undertaker fights back before the Rock Bottom. The ref goes down. Double clothesline. Kane grabs a chair. Both men off the ropes and Rock counters sending Taker into a chair shot to the back from Kane. Rock bottom. The Rock has the visual three count. Did Kane hit Taker by mistake? Taker sits up as Rock tries to wake the referee and delivers a tombstone onto the chair for the definitive three count.

D-Generation X in trouble

X-Pac defends the European title against former champion D’Lo Brown. There’s a big giveaway that this Raw is pre-taped as we see King sitting saying nothing at ringside in the background of the shot as we can hear him excitedly discussing Mark Henry and Chyna's issues (they’re both at ringside for the match) Chyna is served with more legal papers and Henry smiles. This is good. D'lo fakes a knee injury to distract the ref, Mark runs X-pac into the ring post and throws him back inside until D'Lo hits the Low Down frog splash and becomes a two-time European Champion.

Later in the show, Roaddogg and X-Pac come out. Roaddogg is wearing both tag belts and has a blowup doll dressed as Bad Ass Billy Gunn. They're really playing up that Billy Gunn is in the huff and might leave DX. Roaddogg is facing Mark Henry who has the new European Champion at ringside with him. Lawler has gotten a hold of the legal documents that Chyna has been issued twice now and reveals that Mark Henry is suing Chyna for sexual harassment. As D'Lo taunts X-Pac, Chyna appears and hits him in the face. The distraction let's X-Pac deliver the X-factor to Mark Henry and Roaddogg gets the win! Mark grabs a chair and angrily chases DX backstage.

Other Happenings

  • A mysterious woman who hasn’t very been identified or acknowledged but who I know is future WWF women’s wrestling Torii is at ringside behind JR and King multiple times all night and is staring, emotionless at the ring.
  • There’s “earlier today” footage of The Oddities and ICP playing touch football. Ok.
  • The Headbangers come out which the commentators tell us is "unscheduled" and shove the ring announcer around and spit on him. Gross. They challenge ICP to a fight. The Oddities come out instead but then Shaggy 2 Dope and Violent J join them and say that they want to fight The Headbangers. The Oddities go to the back and fair play to ICP, they take a BEATING from the headbangers with a steel chair. The Insane Clown Posse were legit celebrities in 1998. Eventually The Oddities run back out and send The Headbangers packing.
  • Sable comes out to join commentary for this next match. She does a little lap of victory in the ring for the fans. She interacts briefly with Tori who I spotted earlier. She stares at her like an obsessed fan after Sable sits down. Vader is facing Mero. That's why Sable is here. To discuss the women's title. Jackie is at ringside, and still doesn't have a title belt despite being champion for a couple of weeks now. Sable wants to be a wrestler now so she can take the title from Jacqueline. Jackie distracts the ref, Vader uses a low blow and Marvelocity to win the match. Post match Mero goads Sable into the ring and then Jackie hits her from behind and cuts a chunk out of her hair.
  • Edge is slated to face Owen Hart in a rematch from Breakdown. Owen comes out looking sad, serious and not dressed to wrestle. He is very upset over almost breaking Severn's neck last week. He tries to speak and seems like he might cry. He talked about his wife and kids and didn't want to hurt anyone. King is a dick about it, calling him a sissy and a wuss. Owen has gone soft on us. This must be a face turn because King is being nasty to him. After an ad break we see Owen leaving the arena. "I'm done"
  • Another Steven Regal video. He hand squeezes his own oranges and drinks the juice - pulp and all. Like a real man.
  • Val Venis appears to be performing oral sex on Terri backstage and then they come out together for his match with Gangrel. He mentions Magic Johnson in his pre-match promo and I didn't hear what King said but I'm certain that it was an AIDS joke. When Gangrel comes out, he has the mystery blonde with him in a matching outfit. Cute. Since last week it has been revealed that his name is Christian, and he is Edge's younger brother. The implications being that this is why Gangrel and Edge don't get along. Gangrel has brainwashed his little brother. Edge does come throgh the crowd to confront Christian and then Gangrel and he jump Edge and the match ends by countout for Val. JR accidentally calls Christian "Christopher ''  As Val and Terri celebrate, Goldust's old movie usher from his 1996 days comes out and gives Val a gold envelope. It's an invite to Goldust's world premiere next week on Raw. The fans are excited for Goldust. Val deserves a beating.
  • Al Snow faces Jeff Jarrett. Head is over with the crowd. Sgt comes out to distract Al as he's still sore about losing the boot camp match. Jeff blasts Snow with a brutal chair shot to the back of the head. Sgt gets involved and Snow wins by DQ.

Raw is War - October 12th, 1998

Austin Demolition Company

Vince arrives at the arena in a white corvette. JR believes it's being done as an act of defiance and to prove he's fine after getting out of the hospital. He has a whole collection of corvettes, apparently. The stooges help him out of the car and into a wheelchair as he grumbles. The fans in the arena are already chanting "asshole" Vince has invited Austin here tonight and has something planned for him.

Later, Stone Cold pulls into the parking lot with a cement truck. He explains to Michael Cole that he was told that he’s welcome to be here and tells him to go and get Vince. We see Vince’s reaction to watching this on TV in his own office. He's furious. His delivery of “He's driving a cement truck?!” made me laugh.

Vince watches on in horror as Austin uses the cement truck to fill Vince's corvette with cement. The windows explode. This is the third really famous Raw moment in three weeks. These three episodes of Raw feature some of the most famous and honestly, overplayed moments in WWE history but they're all still great.

We see Vince in tears over his destroyed car. The cement has started to go hard. Mankind shows up to helpfully dig through and look for Vince's briefcase.

Later, Austin comes out all smiles. He thanks Vince for the invite tonight. He's happy to be the referee for the WWF title match at Judgment Day. He says the only hand he's going to hold up is his own, and there's not a damn thing Vince can do about it. Vince comes out in his wheelchair. Austin goes to approach but Vince has bodyarmor and balaclava wearing security guard and some big angry barking dogs with him. He's taken his security to the next level. Vince books him in a tag match tonight. He'll team with The Rock against Undertaker and Kane. Vince whines about his bad luck since Austin lost the title. With his crushed ankle he may never again play polo or ride a horse. "You violated me Austin" which gets a pop. He promises that he'll make Austin suffer even more. He will humble himself and raise the new champion's hand in victory at Judgment Day or he will be fired. Austin says he doesn't have the balls to fire him. Vince says he has balls the size of grapefruits. That gets a laugh. The Rock and Stone Cold’s tag team main event is covered in a different section.

Intercontinental Championship Tournament

Triple H has been stripped of the IC title due to his knee injury and subsequent surgery and there will be a tournament tonight. Everyone is paying for McMahon and Austin's rivalry and it's implied that it wasn’t very fair of him to strip Triple H of the title in these circumstances but Mr. McMahon is in a foul mood.

Steve Blackman vs Ken Shamrock in the first round. Shamrock is a heel now and he's very vicious with his former friend. Quick match that Shamrock wins with the ankle lock. The Blue Blazer runs in, attacks both men and runs off.

Val Venis vs. Marc Mero in the first round. Jacqueline finally has her WWF Women's title belt. They'd use that belt for the next 10 years or so, quite a big debut. Jackie has Sable's hair threaded with her own as a sort of blonde streak. Terri distracts Mero and Val wins with the Fisherman suplex. Jackie then attacks and beats up Terri. JR calls them “hell cats” because he's a misogynist. The fans chant for Sable.

Mankind (with Socko, who gets a big pop) mocks Shamrock's weak chairshot as he's set to face him at Judgment Day. Mark Henry vs Mankind in the next first round match. Mark is facing The Rock at Judgment Day. Mark reads a love poem to Chyna before the match but is still suing her for harassment. Mark shows off some really impressive power, throwing Mankind around. The crowd chants “Socko”. Mankind hits a DDT, takes off his shoe and then his sock and then locks in the mandible claw with Mr. Socko, who he was wearing on his foot to win the match..

Jeff Jarrett vs. X-Pac in the 4th quarter final for the tournament. X-pac is challenging D'Lo for the European title at Judgment Day so that could be title vs. title if X-Pac wins. Decent but short match. Jeff goes for a guitar case but it's not his guitar inside, it's Head! X-Pac wins with a roll up and Al Snow runs out to grab Head and take off through the crowd. He's facing Marc Mero at Judgment Day but has beef with Jeff after that chair shot last week.

In the second round of the IC title tournament. Val Venis takes on Ken Shamrock who jumps Val from behind. He is obsessed with winning a championship and has found this new heel side lately. Val is slated to face Goldust at Judgment Day. “Val's got a lot of lower body strength if you know what I mean” says King. How does he know? Shamrock uses submissions and after a chop block to the ankle, wins with the ankle lock. Post match, as Terri tends to hurt Val, Goldust returns. The fans are into it. Val seems very afraid. Goldust pounces on an injured Venis and gives him shattered dreams! Terri looks devastated.

Mankind vs X-Pac in the tournament semi finals. Mankind's shirt is all grubby and covered in dirt and dried concrete thanks to his interactions with Vince McMahon earlier. X-Pac is limping from his match with Jarrett. This match shows the fun of a tournament because this is a weird match you wouldn't otherwise see. They brawl to the outside and Mankind tries to use a chair but the ref stops him. Pac is the underdog and lights up Mankind with kicks and a bronco buster. While the two fight on the outside, Shamrock comes out to watch. He's facing Mankind at Judgment Day and faces the winner of this match for the vacant IC title tonight so has a lot at stake here. He blasts Mankind in the ankle with a chair behind the ref's back and X-Pac wins with a roll up. Shamrock viciously attacks X-Pac's neck after the match and uses a submission hold on his neck until he's dragged off by referees. The stooges come out to get Mankind on behalf of Vince McMahon and stop him from saving X-Pac. Loud “Shamrock sucks” chants. After an ad break, Triple H is at ringside on crutches checking on X-Pac. The referees check if Pac wants to go and he does so the tournament final begins. Triple H joins commentary to talk about how tough and resilient X-Pac is while Shamrock demolishes him in the ring. Shamrock is really focused on the neck and X-Pac screams in agony. It's hard to watch! Triple H takes issue with Vince stripping him of the title and not telling him directly; he found out on TV like the rest of us. Shamrock is too much for X-Pac who fights but ultimately taps out to the ankle lock. Ken Shamrock is the new Intercontinental Champion and will be presented with the belt on Heat before Judgment Day on Sunday. Post match, Mankind gets in the ring with a chair to make sure Shamrock leaves peacefully.

The End of The Nation

Michael Cole interviews The People's Champ, The Rock. He doesn't want to be Austin's partner. He doesn't like Stone Cold. D'Lo and Mark Henry approach Rock. They want to know if he's too good for them now. He calls them jabronis and candy asses. Lol.

Undertaker and Kane, opponents at Judgment Day, out first for their tag match with The Rock and Stone Cold. There are a lot of Rock signs in the crowd now. Austin is still “the man” though. The fans are electric for him. Rock and Austin stare down which is an awesome moment in hindsight. With a knowing nod to each other, they slide into the ring and here we go! This is a massive tag match. Austin fights Kane on the floor and Rock takes on Taker in the ring. Austin and Rock do work together and use a couple of double teams. Paul Bearer comes to ring side which seems to be news to both Taker and Kane. He has them both distracted. The Rock hits an awesome People's Elbow where Taker sits up to avoid it so Rock pauses, stomps him back down and elbows him anyway. Taker fights back quick enough with a chokeslam and tag to Kane. Next, D'Lo and Mark Henry come to the ring. The Rock is still officially in The Nation but he's facing Mark Henry at the PPV. The brothers work over The Rock until he's able to hot tag to Austin. The focus of the PPV has shifted to Austin now. Will he humble himself or be fired, rather than Kane and Undertaker fighting for the vacant title. As Austin fights for his life in the ring, the cameras miss D'Lo and Henry's turning on The Rock with a bodyslam and splash on the outside. The crowd chants “D'Lo sucks” as he's escorted to the back. As Austin tries to fend off Taker and Kane single handedly, McMahon's new security guard comes out and wipes out Austin with a nightstick. He unmasks. It's the return of the Big Boss man! Vince comes out and watches with a smile as Taker and Kane destroy Stone Cold 2 on 1 to close the show.

Other Happenings

  • The New Age Outlaws are out and all smiles. They seem to have made up since last week. They're defending the titles against LOD 2000. It's Animal and Droz accompanied by Hawk in street clothes. Hawk has been in rehab and joins commentary. He admits he was hooked on pain pills but is better now. This is WAY too close to the truth. They mention a 6 man tag with DoA and Paul Ellering at Judgment Day. I thought that feud was done. DoA attack Hawk and the match breaks down as Droz and Animal go out to help him. During all this distraction, The Headbangers smash a boombox over roaddogg's head while the Outlaws are distracted. Chaos. Roaddogg is busted open.
  • We've seen Undertaker and Kane arrive separately in their street clothes. Kane in his civvies is always funny to see.
  • Another Val-and-Terri-being-gross moment and then a little video reminder of who Goldust is.
  • Paul Bearer arrives with a briefcase. Vince is shocked to see him but there's no real follow up on that tonight.
  • Cole tries to speak to Sable but she runs off and attacks Jacqueline, dragging her out of her locker room and through the back to ringside.
  • Extra Attitude has Taker, Kane and Boss man leave and the stooges try to attack Austin. They get a pair of stunners and Austin watches happily as Rock gives them a double People’s Elbow. Stone Cold dumps Vince out of his wheelchair and stomps on him to send the crowd home happy. The stooges struggle to get Vince back in the chair and drop him twice.

And that brings us to Judgment Day! A lot packed into three weeks of Raw with three of the all time classic Austin moments. They’ve announced a lot more matches for the undercard on this show too!
